Migrating Metadata from Squirrly to SEOPress
SEOPress offers a streamlined process to transfer all your metadata from Squirrly. Here's the metadata you can import:
- Title tags
- Meta descriptions
- Facebook Open Graph tags: title, description, and image thumbnail
- Twitter tags: title, description, and image thumbnail
- Meta Robots: noindex, nofollow
- Canonical URL
Steps for the Migration:
- Go to SEO > Tools > Plugins in your WordPress dashboard.
- Select Squirrly.
- Click Migrate now.
Upon completion, you can safely deactivate and uninstall the Squirrly plugin from your WordPress dashboard.
Points to Remember:
- Term metadata is not imported in this process.
- For seamless website performance, ensure only one SEO plugin is active to prevent any overlaps or conflicts.
WARNING: Upon migration, all SEOPress post metadata might be modified or deleted, while Squirrly's data remains intact.
